Dr.
Kathleen T. Heinrich is a professor of nursing at the
University
of Hartford where she coordinates the master's program
in nursing education. She received her BSN from St. Anselm's
College, an MSN from Boston University and a PhD from the
University of Connecticut in Higher Education with a specialization
in the adult learner. A lover of writing, Kathleen has published
on topics related to nursing education, educational research,
and clinical practice. For the 2000-2001 biennium, Sigma Theta
Tau International Honor Society of Nursing named Kathleen
a "Distinguished Writer" in recognition of her extensive
publication record and service as a review editor for 2 nursing
journals. Kathleen enjoys mentoring nursing colleagues and
students through her "Writing for Publication" courses
and workshops. Integrating strategies from creative writing
workshops, Kathleen inspires nurses to transform their passionate
ideas into publications.
